Hello There!

So this is our last week for blogs! I can't believe this semester has gone by so fast. How has everyones week been? Mine seems to have never have happened. Its all a blur, haha. I hope everyones research paper is going great. I narrowed my topic down to operative vaginal deliveries. What this specifically looks at is the use of forcepts and vaccum suction assist during a vaginal birth, and the effects it has on the mother and baby after delivery. I thought my topic before was a little to broad, because there is so much trauma that could occur during delivery. I couldn't possibly cover it all in one paper. Anyway, I hope I'm not the only one behind, because I feel like I'm still procrastinating. I'm having trouble finding sources. I'm ashamed to admit that I'm behind. Hello Everyone! Can you believe this weather! Its freezing! Where did fall go? So I hope everyone is doing great. How's the research going. I had decided to do my paper on trauma during birth and the effects it has on the child later on in life. Lucky for me, my preceptor at work found some really great books that has articles over this topic. I hope everyone is finding articles good. Its tough searching. It was fall break?

So it was fall break? Huh, funny. I wouldn't have known. I have been crazy busy this week, and I'm totally stressed. I have seriously procrasinated to long this time, and I'm afraid I will be suffering from it. Tomorrow is my third 12 hour shift at work, and today we had a huge emergency c-section. Learn something new everyday. It was craziness...rephrase, its always craziness. Anyway, I hope everyone is having a good weekend, and sorry this is posted so late in the week.

Hello everyone! Hope everyones having a good week. I read where Mr. Burkhead wants us to gear our post more torward our major and the class. Well, is anyone else having trouble writing the essay for this week. I've started, but I'm still having trouble getting down what I want. I always have trouble writing anyway. I know what I believe, and why I believe it, but I'm having trouble getting that down on paper in a way that people with understand. I guess we'll see how it turns out. Anyway, I hope you all aren't having as much trouble as I am. Have a good rest of the week and weekend. : )

Hey!

Hey everyone! Hope everybodies week is going good. I worked my 3 12s this week. I've decided to start training in how to assist with a surgeries, so since I'm in labor and delivery, I did a lot of c-sections this week. Talk about nervous. I feel like I'm more in the way then helping, but I guess its just going to take practice. The doctors are patient, thank God, and they like to teach. I'll just be glad when I get the hang of it. And there are so many instruments on the table, and its hard to tell which is which. I'm proud of myself though. I'm a firm believer in taking advantage of every opportunity. I want to be a well rounded individual. So this is exciting. Anyway, I have lots to do today, so I guess I'll get off here. Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Oh, by the way. I'm having trouble coming up with a topic for my research paper..anybody else having trouble?

Wow, is it already Thursday?

Hey Guys and Gals. I can't believe its already Thursday. This week has gone by incredibly fast. Yesterday I had a class at vanderbilt over basic fetal strips. It was very interesting and I felt I learned a lot. Not much else has gone on this week. I have work tomorrow, and plan on getting caught up on everything Saturday. I just don't feel very motivated. Its so hard for me to get back into the swing of things, especially with online classes. Well I hope everyones having a great week. : )

Overwhelmed

First I'd like to say hi to everyone! I hope you all are having a wonderful week. Now I'm just going to put this out there...am I the only one feeling overwhelmed? I feel like I have so much to do. And I have to work all this weekend. Thats three 12 hour shifts, 7 am-7 pm. I seriously think I've gotten in over my head this semester! Sorry about my whinning, but I just had to release that. Sigh...its all good. Got to stay optimistic right? I've often been told I'm too optimistic, glass half full kind of girl. But its a good way to be! Anyway, I guess I better try to finish all that I can before tomorrow. I wonder how many pregnant women will come rolling up into the hospital this weekend...its always a surprise! Have a great weekend everyone : )
